More than $5,000 in awards was presented at the 36th Kentuck Festival of the Arts, October 20- 21 by judges Renee Stout and Dolph Smith.

Dolph Smith has over 30 years of experience teaching Drawing and Painting at the graduate level at the Memphis College of Art. He is a published author, teaches nationwide, has worked in multiple media, and is a nationally known papermaker and book artist. Artist Renee Stout currently lives and works in Washington, D.C. Her artwork examines her African American roots, along with the political, social, and religious issues of her immediate environment. Originally trained as a painter, Stout found her ideas could best be communicated through a variety of media.
