Tony Brock
Painter of Stuff
Tony Brock is a visual artist who specializes in painting pop-culture themed images with a retro feel. He's influenced by imagery from his childhood including cartoons, comics, lunchboxes, movie monsters, model kits, 70s tee-shirts
and anything else that may currently inspire him, from vintage Hollywood imagery to music to other artists. He uses acrylic, painted on stretched canvas, plywood (and other items like the occasional cabinet door) to create a broad range of paintings of rock-a-billy zombie league bowlers, roller derby girls and song-inspired work like a painted interpretation of Warren Zevon’s Werewolves of London.
