Volunteers play an invaluable part in the success of all the Kentuck events, ensuring the each Festival looks beautiful and that all our artists and guests feel welcomed. We hope that you will be able to Donate/Join Us as a volunteer—we have many ways for you to get involved.

Volunteer Responsibilities
Distributing Media Information
Assist in the weeks and days leading up to the festival with the distribution of posters, media and press information to area business and other locations across Northport and Tuscaloosa. Requires a method of mobility for around town deliveries.
Set-Up
Help to get the Festival grounds looking great, by assisting with behind the scenes activities prior to the actual event on the Friday before, October 19th. Requires physical labor.
Information Booth
During the Festival, volunteers will assist patrons, answer questions and sell Kentuck merchandise. Some volunteers will help with the check-in of artists and assist with getting them to their booths. While other volunteers will help at the volunteer headquarters and assure friendly operation by checking in volunteers. Requires money handling experience, ability to work with others, physical labor involved.
Booth Sitting
Give the artists much-needed breaks by booth sitting while they get away for a few minutes or have lunch. Persons should be 18 years of age and above.
Hospitality
Help serve the artists and VIPs in the hospitality tent. Additionally, this job involves some set-up and clean up. Persons should be 15 years of age and above.
General Assistance
Be an ambassador for Kentuck by greeting patrons, welcoming visitors at the front gate, distributing programs, taking surveys or helping with other important tasks. Such as assisting with concessions, maintenance or helping with the kid’s activity area.
Break-Down
All good things must come to an end. Help take down signage, pack up supplies, assist artists take down tent, help with clean up and garbage and wrap up another successful weekend. Physical labor involved.
Volunteer Benefits
Each volunteer will receive free admission to the festival and a hardy “Thank You” from the board and staff of Kentuck. We know that your dedication to Kentuck and your help is what makes each festival a terrific experience for our artists, demonstrators and guests.
Volunteers for 2013 Kentuck Festival of the Arts should be prepared to work a 3-4 hour shift. It is strongly recommended that volunteers bring sunscreen, hat/sunglasses, jacket or poncho, comfortable walking shoes and a watch. Please do not bring a purse or handbag, valuables that cannot fit in your pocket(s), or clothing/shoes that cannot be soiled. It is the volunteers responsibility to provide his/her own food and beverage.
