Tuesday-Thursday in July

Kids Clay Camp

Instructor: Hayes Dobbins

  • Learn hand-building techniques and color application
  • Emphasis on creativity and freedom of artistic expression
  • Work on up to 3 different projects
  • Tuition includes 25 lbs of clay, all glazes, tools, and kiln firing
  • Each session consists of three classes, Tuesday-Thursday from 9AM-11AM

Session C: Ages 6-8, July 11-13
Session D: Ages 9+, July 18-20
Session E: Ages 6-8, July 25-27

Tuition: $130 per camper; members get 10% off

July 11-14

Imagination and Enrichment Kids Camp Session II

Instructor: Sydney Gruber

  • Create and explore visual art through the lens of self-expression, collaboration, wordplay, and literary devices
  • Materials and mediums include canvas, wood, acrylic paints, spirographs, gel pens, and more!
  • Tuition includes all supplies
  • Ages 8-12

Tuition: $120 per camper; members get 10% off

The Kentuck Experience at the Alabama Folk School

With the shared goal of perpetuating folk art, Kentuck Art Center & Festival has joined with the Alabama Folk School at Camp McDowell to offer “The Kentuck Experience at the Alabama Folk School.” This exciting collaboration will give Kentuck Festival goers an opportunity to extend their Festival experiences by meeting Kentuck artists and learning their craft in a week-long workshop at the Alabama Folk School.

Workshops are open to all. No experience necessary.
