Have you ever wondered how baskets are made? They are made by someone's hands, never by machine. Come join Jill and Mickey Miller and learn this ancient craft. Participants will use many techniques and will complete 3 and, if possible, 4 baskets. All supplies will be included to complete your baskets. Registration for this class is $100, and an $80 materials fee must be paid directly to the instructors at the start of the first class. This class will be held on four consecutive Mondays in August from 5-9 PM.
This class is for ages 18+.

Kentuck workshops are non-refundable after the registration closes. If you would like to cancel before the deadline passes, please email mbell@kentuck.org or call 205-758-1257. If the class does not meet the minimum by the registration deadline and the workshop is cancelled, all participants will be refunded their registration fees.

Meet the Instructors
Jill and Mickey Miller
​
Jill & Mickey Miller have been weaving baskets for over twenty-five years. They are demonstrating artists at the Kentuck Festival of the Arts, and their baskets are available at Kentuck's Gallery Shop in downtown Northport, Alabama. They do chair caning as well as teach basket weaving. The Millers have taught with Kentuck Art Center and PARA.
