Kentuck Art Center and Festival was established in 1971. Kentuck's mission is to perpetuate the arts, engage the community, and empower the artist. The Kentuck Festival of the Arts is held annually in October, and during that weekend, makes a $5.5 million economic impact on its community.

Crossroads Arts Alliance is a Board of the town of Gordo, Alabama, whose mission is to promote and support the making and teaching of arts in Gordo and Pickens County while enhancing positive partnerships, economic development, cultural tourism, and quality of life. Membership is open to all supporters of its mission.

Artists and mediums have included: Craig Patterson (printmaking, creative writing); Rhys Greene (stained glass, glass mosaics, photography); Glenn “Butch” House, Jr. (metal); Suzanne Gray (printmaking, book arts, mixed media); Sherri Warner (mixed media, book arts, concrete); Sharon Greenwood (paint on canvas, culinary arts); Sandee House (clay, glass); Barbara Lee Black (photography); Ulrike Franz (printmaking, papermaking); Holly Hamm (photography); Ronald Riffe (woodturning); Jan Lee (mixed media); Mary Cesar (printmaking, culinary arts); Briley Newman (photography); Erin Ryan (printmaking, mixed media); Ashleigh McCool (mixed media); Cristina House (clay, jewelry); and, Kathleen Fetters (photography, printmaking).
