a la carte
choose from a variety of art skills to explore in depth

This is a chance to indulge your curiosities or to delve deeper into your favorite art media!

Like ordering from an a la carte menu, participants will have the opportunity to choose from 4 options:

Acrylic Painting

Monotypes

Collage

Drawing

We will supply all the necessary materials, and we'll clean up the mess when you're done. It's the perfect place to create with friends or explore on your own.

The a la cARTe experiences are fully self-guided. There are books on hand for reference and to get the creative juices flowing.

Our a la cARTe Studio is the only studio option available for walk-ins. Just drop in, have some fun, and leave with something you create! However, pre-registration is recommended. Feel free to register ahead of time to reserve your spot.

Meet the Instructor

Leigh Clarke

Leigh Clark is a recent graduate from the University of Alabama where she received her master's degree in art history. She is a Montgomery, Alabama native and has attended schools like Auburn University Montgomery (B.A) and Booker T. Washington Magnet High School where she was able to continue her growth as both an artist and art historian. Leigh's art interests include painting, drawing, and art produced during the Renaissance and Baroque time period. During her free time, she is a watercolor painter and loves attempting new media.  She has volunteered with the Tuscaloosa Magnet School, previously interned at the Kentuck Art Center, and is a member of Tide 4 Christ (a Christian organization at the University of Alabama). Art is not only her interest but is one of her areas of great passion. Leigh hopes to not only share the knowledge and skills she has acquired but encourage others to unleash their inner artist as well.
