Kentuck Art Center and Festival was established in 1971. Kentuck's mission is to perpetuate the arts, engage the community, and empower the artist. The Kentuck Festival of the Arts is held annually in October, and during that weekend, makes a $5.5 million economic impact on its community.

  • These fused glass candy dishes are created by Joni Esser-Stuart and are approximately 6"x6"x1".

  • Joni Esser-Stuart is originally from Wisconsin but has lived in the South for more than 25 years. She has taught graduate and undergraduate social work courses at Kansas State University, the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Alabama. She loved working with students and enjoyed teaching and working on her research projects. She was also involved in community service and arts organizations. She often used her grant writing skills to benefit and enrich the community.

     

    Joni has spent the last several years developing her skills as a fused glass artist. She enjoys making decorative and functional art, designing jewelry, teaching workshops and classes. Her colorful platters and one-of-a-kind pendants are truly unique and women of all ages love wearing her fused glass art. Joni divides her time between her home in Northport, Alabama and Pembroke Pines, Florida.
