Woodchip Pencil Cup-Larry Jarvis

  • This turned woodchip cup is approximately 4" wide and 4" tall.

  • I received training in wood turning in 7th grade wood shop class at Ichabod Crane central school in Valatie, NY. I also took a wood turning class thru OLLI classes at the university 2 years ago. The instructors were George Shelton and Bill Hubbard. I was first exposed to wood turning in 7th grade wood shop. I loved every aspect of wood turning and all the possibilities of creating objects in that manner. As with most of us life happened, and it was many years before I would have the opportunity to pursue my interest in wood turning. As I approached retirement I decided it was time to fulfill my desire to get involved in wood turning. I researched on line, found out about the Olli class, and signed up. I now turn almost every day.
