Kentuck has a rich 48-year history as a nationally known crossroads of creativity and community. Every year, more than 10,000 travel from across the United States to become immersed in a Southern experience of prolific creativity rarely found at other festivals. Having roots in folk art, the two-day festival features 270+ artists, live music, spoken word, activities for children, folk and contemporary craft demonstrations, food trucks, and local craft brews.

Every dollar invested in Kentuck puts $32 back into the community.

According to Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports, Kentuck makes a $5.9 million economic impact on the surrounding community during the two-day Festival.

Kentuck's Artists in the Schools program sends over a dozen Festival Artists to local third grade classrooms for demonstrations and hands-on activities. Studies show that students engaged in the arts have higher standardized test scores, higher GPAs, and lower dropout rates.

In 2018, taxes were  paid  to the city, county, and state on more than $500,000 of sales.


270+ artists

Kentuck invests more than $38,000 in costs and lost revenue to bring 26 guest artists, 21 demonstrating artists, and 15 award winners back to the Festival each year, as well as send 17 artists to local schools. We invest in making the Festival great before inviting artists to apply!

The higher the quality of art, the better the Festival. The better the Festival, the higher the impact on artists and the community.

In 2018, Sunshine Artist Magazine ranked Kentuck Festival of the Arts 5th in the nation in the category of Classic and Contemporary Craft Shows. These rankings are based solely on artists’ self-reported revenue.

Our Festival Program is printed on 11x17' paper and folded in half. All sponsor logos go on the back cover. 5,000 programs are distributed at the festival for free. Scroll through the pictures to see all pages.

heaven of a place

Last year was the first edition of our Collectors' Festival Catalog, titled Heaven of a Place. This is a limited edition magazine-style, 60-page, full-color book for our biggest Kentuck fans. These are sold for $15 at the Festival and given to our Benefactors (the highest-level VIPs) as part of their VIP package.


A limited number of the 2018 edition of Heaven of a Place are still available online or in our Gallery Shop located at 503 Main Avenue.

This year's catalog will be a special edition publication honoring Alabama's bicentennial and our "Year of Alabama Artists."

These 11x17" posters go in hundreds of storefront windows in businesses in Tuscaloosa, Northport, and Birmingham.

In the park, sponsorship logos go on a large, corrugated plastic sign, similar to this one. These are 7 feet tall, have 3-4 sides, and are freestanding.



Kentuck's new website design makes it easy to prominently display our sponsors. Platinum, Premier, and Official sponsors get their logos in a rotating photo gallery with their website linked. To see the 2018 sponsors, click here.

The Facebook event for the 47th Kentuck Festival of the Arts reached 127.4K people, and had 5,420 select "going" or "interested" in the event. Anyone who selects "going" or "interested" in the event gets notifications each time Kentuck Art Center publishes a post in that event page.

Kentuck's Instagram has 1,894 followers (as of 5/2/19) and is steadily growing. Instagram's user base has continually grown, going from 400 million monthly active users in September 2015 to one billion in June 2018.

Kentuck's Twitter has 1,813 followers as of 5/2/19. Twitter is particularly good for posting spur-of-the-moment updates and interacting with businesses and organizations.
