Cracker Harris

Teer Gallery: August 5 - September 23

Finding fresh originality in the rich tradition of southern art is the #1 priority of Cracker Jack Art Supply. Some of the themes explored have included such topics as luck, religion, southern fiction writers, family, rattlesnake rodeos, vintage roadside attractions, old board games, and interactive works. Each piece is made with unique materials salvaged from locales such as junk yards, abandoned churches, dumpsters, falling barns or any destination holding forgotten treasure. Examples used have included such objects as farm tools, tin cans, Christmas tree holders, toys, game pieces, rusted chain and spatulas. Whether it’s a light interactive game type piece or has an aspect of southern gothic, my goal is to provide laughter, something to think about, and smiles to all those who visit.
