1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

Kentuck Museum Association, operating as Kentuck Art Center & Festival, is committed to ensuring that our website, kentuck.org, is accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We believe that art and culture should be available to everyone, and we are actively working to improve the accessibility of our digital presence.

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.

3. Current Accessibility Status

We are in the early stages of our accessibility journey. We recognize that our website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, and we are committed to making ongoing improvements. Some areas we are actively working to address include:

  • Adding descriptive alt text to images throughout the site

  • Improving color contrast ratios for text and interactive elements

  • Ensuring keyboard navigability across all pages

  • Making forms and interactive content compatible with screen readers

  • Reviewing and improving the accessibility of embedded third-party content

4. Third-Party Platforms

Some areas of our website link to third-party platforms for ticketing, shopping, memberships, donations, and artist applications. These include Eventeny, Square, Bloomerang, and Zapplication. While we encourage these providers to maintain accessible experiences, we do not control their platforms and cannot guarantee their level of accessibility compliance. We recommend contacting those providers directly with accessibility concerns related to their services.
