Kentuck Art Center and Festival was established in 1971. Kentuck's mission is to perpetuate the arts, engage the community, and empower the artist. The Kentuck Festival of the Arts is held annually in October, and during that weekend, makes a $5.5 million economic impact on its community.

In October 2019, Kentuck Art Center partnered with Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports to highlight the vibrant arts community within this state. Alabama Artists who submitted to this promotion received two weekend passes to the 48th Kentuck Festival of the Arts and a spot in this online gallery for the next year.

For the past 200 years, Alabama Artists (and several Kentuck Artists) have become nationally and internationally known. They have been collected by prestigious institutions like the Smithsonian and the American Folk Art Museum, and featured in publications like Raw Vision Magazine, Southern Living, and American Craft. Thank you for continuing the rich artistic tradition in the state of Alabama. We're looking forward to at least 200 more years of incredible creativity!
