Looking for free, family-friendly events in the Tuscaloosa and Northport area? Kentuck offers a variety of events that are open to the public, including Art Nights, Art Markets, and First Fridays. These events celebrate local artists, live music, hands-on activities, and community connection—all at no cost to attend.

kentuck's art nights

Frequency: first Thursday each month
Location: Kentuck Art Center, 503 Main Ave Northport

​Join us for exhibition openings, open artists’ studios, live music in the courtyard, extended Gallery Shop hours, and pop-up shops from local vendors.

-Drop-in Clay Activity: For $20, create art with 2lbs of clay & glazes!

Frequency: third Saturday each month, unless otherwise noted
Location: Kentuck at Queen City, 1901 Jack Warner Parkway

Located just across from the Tuscaloosa Farmers Market, this free outdoor event features local artists and hands-on activities. While you're there, be sure to step inside Kentuck at Queen City to see Stories Shaped & Shared: Selections from The Edward Guy Collection!

first fridays

Frequency: The Tuscaloosa Arts Council and other downtown galleries participate in this event the first Friday each month (details here). Kentuck at Queen City will host exhibition opening receptions on select First Fridays.
